Hello and thanks to everyone for care and concern during this difficult hour. We got the power after 4 days. Thankfully we have gas boiler which kept the hot water supply on. This hurricane was tough to many who lived on the shore. We live in the inner area and our house is located on the hill side. Our area did not get expected rain and there was no flooding. But we had the wind that was too rough to handle. That downed the trees and blocked the road. Now the area is cleared of the trees and other debris.
Just read the blog after many days.
To Shivansh and Sudhansh. You guys are very creative. I am happy you like quilting. Quilting is a no 1 hobby here in the US. In fact it was the no 1 hobby of your great grandmother, Ba. In the afternoon we use to help her cut the design for the quilts. My mom and your aaji use to help putting the quilt together and sew it on the machine.
I remember all those patterns like lotus, pin wheel, sailboat etc. If you would like to know the "Family " traditional pattern, let me know and I will put on the graph paper for you.
Keep up the good work.
